The Regions
The Regions Team, part of the Destination Development Group has been formed, to apply a concentrated development & marketing focus to the tourism regions of SA. The unit is also responsible for the management of the SA Accredited Visitor Information Centres.
The Regional Tourism Manager works strategically with other members of the Destination Development Unit to communicate and develop the best of SA to our target audience in the intrastate, national and international markets.
These Marketing Managers develop and coordinate the marketing activity for their region eg. advertising and promotions, and media communications. They work with Local Government, Regional Development Boards, Industry Groups and Operators to ensure collaborative commitment and approach in marketing campaigns for each region.
Tourism Marketing Committee Adelaide Hills Inc (trading as Adelaide Hills Tourism and referred to as AHT), is an incorporated body made up of committee members from the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), local Government & Adelaide Hills tourism businesses.
Clare Valley Tourism is an incorporated body appointed by the Minister for Tourism under the umbrella of the South Australian Tourism Commission.
Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism (FPT) undertakes marketing activities that position the Fleurieu Peninsula as a first choice tourism destination to its key markets in Australia and overseas.
TKI works in partnership with the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), Tourism Australia and other Kangaroo Island agencies in developing and promoting Kangaroo Island as a leading Australian tourism destination.
Murraylands Tourism Marketing Incorporated is a not-for-profit Regional Tourism Organisation. Encompassing the Murray River, from Wellington to Swan Reach, and the vast Murray Mallee farming district, the Murraylands is a diverse nature-based tourism region
The Riverland Tourism Association (RTA) is a not for profit member based organisation which promotes and markets the Riverland as a premier holiday destination to its key markets in Australia and overseas. The RTA aims to achieve a measurable return on investment for all stakeholders, increase visitor numbers, length of stay and visitor yield in the region.
Yorke Peninsula Tourism Marketing is the key organisation, responsible for marketing and increasing the profile of the Yorke Peninsula tourism region. Our role is to highlight the facilities, attractions, accommodation and services of the region as a whole. YPTM is continually working towards increasing the number of visitors to the region; increasing their length of stay; resulting in increased average expenditure.
