Riverland
The Riverland Tourism Association (RTA) is a not for profit member based organisation which promotes and markets the Riverland as a premier holiday destination to its key markets in Australia and overseas. The RTA aims to achieve a measurable return on investment for all stakeholders, increase visitor numbers, length of stay and visitor yield in the region.
The RTA supports, promotes and facilitates sustainable development of tourism in the Riverland including infrastructure, investment, training and excellence in business and service standards across the region.
Riverland Tourism’s vision is:
‘The Riverland will be Australia’s ‘must see – must do’ Murray River holiday destination.
The Riverland Tourism Association is funded by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), industry (via membership and cooperative marketing) and the four councils that encompass our region – Renmark Paringa Council, Berri Barmera Council, District Council of Loxton Waikerie and Mid Murray Council. The RTA is managed by a skills-based Ministerial appointed committee that represents the region’s tourism industry. In addition, the SATC employs two full time staff members who administrate the Riverland Tourism Association. All staff are based at Berri, in the Riverland.
RTA Membership – Working in partnership, locally and regionally.
Are you a tourism/hospitality operator in the Riverland or considering a new tourism development? The RTA is industry funded and aims to conduct campaigns and development to further benefit members and the Riverland tourism industry. Riverland Local Government and the South Australian Tourism Commission match the funding raised from the local industry, thus tripling the organisation’s ability to develop and further promote the region. As a member of the RTA you are contributing to the development and sustainability of your industry and increasing opportunities to link your business with other operators in the region.
